The NYSDEC has developed an interactive online map that displays the location of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) across the state. HAB reports will be updated through October. The NYHABS map can be accessed at: on.ny.gov/nyhabs.
On August 19th a portion of tropical storm Fred dumped several inches of rain on the towns of Woodhull, Troupsburg, Jasper, Greenwood, West Union, Canisteo and the Village of Addison. A state of emergency was declared in those towns.
This is a new fitting that enables the user to easily connect any flanged fitting to an existing pipe with a slip on connection.
It’s a feature of the Water for Life initiative that gets people talking about the importance of clean water, representatives said.

Proponents for clean water held a Water for Life event at Coolidge Park on Sunday so that people could learn about re-purposing water.
Local breweries that are participating in that process are now using recycled water for special craft beers.
