Water and Energy Nexus in Disasters Webinar Series

Emergency Power Generation at Drinking Water and Wastewater Utilities

Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 1-2 PM ET

 EPA will be hosting its first of four Water and Energy Nexus in Disasters webinars on January 22, 2014. The webinar will feature two water utility speakers who will share their perspectives and experiences with backup generators, covering topics such as:

  • · Sizing
  • · Maintenance
  • · Fuel storage and delivery

 Speakers:

Frank Bennett is the Stafford County (Virginia) Utilities Facility Maintenance Manager. He oversees the water booster pump stations, water tanks, and waste water lift stations. He has been trained in Power Generation and Distribution, Automation and Controls, SCADA, Pumps, and System Hydraulics.

 Robert Fullagar is the Director of Distribution at Middlesex Water Company (MWC) in New Jersey. He oversees the emergency operations and business continuity planning, preparation and response activities for MWC and subsidiaries. He has been trained in ICS, NIMS and has received a Professional Development Series Certificate from FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute.
