It is that time of the year again, time to apply for our scholarship program. As many of you know, each year the NYRWA distributes one-time grants to five students across New York State valued at $500.00 to help defray the cost of tuition, books, or room and board at an accredited institution of higher learning approved by the NYRWA.

On January 4th, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the New York State Department of Health, in consultation with the departments of State and Agriculture and Markets, announced the creation of a statewide program to help municipalities develop and implement protection plans for their drinking water sources. New York Rural Water Association and JumpStartTesting, LLC have joined together to provide operators with another tool to help prepare for their next exam. Practice questions, along with correct answers and references are available for Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment Biological, and Collections and for all levels at this time, others to be added in the future.
